We’re supporting a well-established UK energy and engineering organisation in the search for an Assistant Gas Engineer to join their team in Twickenham.

THE ROLE
As the Assistant Gas Engineer, you’ll support experienced engineers with the installation, maintenance, and servicing of gas systems and associated equipment across the site.
This is a hands-on position where you’ll gain valuable engineering experience while developing technical knowledge within a highly regulated and safety-focused environment.
Responsibilities include:
* Supporting qualified engineers with maintenance and installations
* Assisting with inspections and safety checks
* Following health & safety procedures and company processes
* Maintaining tools, equipment, and work areas
* Completing documentation and job records accurately
* Supporting day-to-day operational activities across the site
* Developing technical knowledge through structured training
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
* Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
* Excellent awareness of health & safety procedures
* Reliable and adaptable approach to work
* Strong teamwork and communication skills
* Comfortable working within a hands-on engineering environment
* Ability to follow structured processes and procedures
* Full UK driving licence
* Previous experience within engineering, mechanical maintenance, logistics, operations, facilities management, utilities, or military environments would be beneficial.
