The Survey and Inspection department in DOF Subsea Atlantic is looking for Survey Engineers to join our team. This is an offshore position.

What You'll Do

1. Operate Survey Equipment: Use state-of-the-art technology to collect, analyse, and record data to the highest standards, ensuring everything is accurate and up to regulations. Prepare, use, and maintain all relevant survey logs, documentation and reports. Monitor real-time displays; examine calibration, data plots and charts/maps. Be familiar with equipment lists, checklists, service reports, and to confirm that there is no shortage of equipment and parts
2. Focus on safety. Whatever we do, we want to do it in a safe manner. Report and follow up deficiencies, damaged equipment, safety hazards, or incidents; by using the appropriate reporting system (, failure/breakdown, SJA, non-conformity)
3. Collaboration is Key: Work alongside survey personnel onshore and offshore, ROV crew, Shift Supervisors and management to ensure smooth operations, while providing input and suggestions for improvements in team performance and operations. Support vessel mobilization and demobilization as needed
4. Maintain Equipment: Keep survey-related equipment in excellent working condition, making sure everything runs smoothly and efficiently. We take pride in looking after our assets
5. Reporting & Problem-Solving: Report key findings to senior team members, identify issues, and actively contribute to solutions that optimise our workflows
6. Innovation Focus: Get hands-on with the latest in survey technology and contribute to the development of new systems in renewable energy, offshore decommissioning, and more. Contribute to Dof's commitment to sustainability and innovation in renewable energy

11. Flexible mindset—adapt to changing environments with ease
12. Passion for innovation, safety, and efficiency

Permanent residency in the UK is required for this role.

Is this the perfect role for you, but you don’t meet every single requirement? We value the right person over a perfect match to a job description. Research shows that underrepresented groups are less likely to apply unless they meet every listed requirement, and we don’t want that to hold great talent back, so we encourage you to apply. It’s the best way for us to find the right talent for this role, or another, and that could be you.

We will also consider trainees for this role and so if you feel you are the right person for this role and have a great attitude we would like to hear from you.
