Job overview
The GP PCME is responsible for delivering quality assured education at Programme and Postgraduate School of General Practice levels, with group-based learning aligned to curriculum needs.
The postholder will collaborate with the Training Programme Director and other educators to ensure training standards are met and that learning experiences are adaptable to different stages of learner development and settings.
Applicants must be GMC GP Register with at least one year post-CCT experience in general practice.
Main duties
1. Support planning and delivery of a balanced training program aligned with the RCGP GP Curriculum.
2. Develop and facilitate group learning tailored to local and national training needs.
3. Deliver sessions to trainees at ST1, ST2, and ST3 levels.
4. Prepare teaching plans and facilitate evidence gathering for e-portfolios.
5. Record assessments and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
6. Identify and report learner concerns, supporting the Programme Director in addressing them.
7. Provide accurate costings for the teaching program.
8. Maintain attendance records and support trainee attendance management.
