THE BUSINESS
Westray Recruitment Group are seeking a pipework welder to join our client in West Yorkshire who is a global company specialising in piping systems for various industries. They operate globally with multiple branches; providing a full range of products and services to various industries. They have a focus on reliability and environmental friendliness. The organisation has a solid order book and can provide role stability as they have a long serving history with their clients.
They have been providing pipework solutions for over 50 years and due to increased business needs, are expanding on our teams.
This role will primarily be based in their Ossett facility but travel around the UK will be required. All candidates would be expected to work both in the workshop and work away on various projects of varying durations, weekend working is required at times both in the workshop and onsite. Enhanced overtime rates are in place to reward your efforts.
THE ROLE
23. The role will include spool fabrication using both welding and mechanical forming techniques as well as some pressure testing and flushing
24. Training on all company products, systems and equipment will be provided
25. Successful candidates will be expected to work both in the workshop and work away on various projects of varying durations, weekend working is required at times both in the workshop and onsite
26. You will carry out welding of Stainless Steel and Carbon Steel Pipework
27. You will be welding both small (<2") and large bore (up to 32") heavy wall pipework
28. Working both in fabrication workshop and on site as and when required
29. Commercial and process pipework fabrication, welding, fitting and modification
30. Fabricating pipework in accordance to Isometric drawings, P&iD’s and job specifications
31. Installation and or modification of commercial & industrial pipeline systems
32. Working to tight tolerances
33. Promote good housekeeping for an efficient working environment
34. Setting standards and mentoring junior members of the team
THE PERSON
35. You will have experience with MIG, TIG, MMA (stick)
36. You must have the ability to work all over the UK, scheduled or ADHOC trips away from home
37. You have good team working skills as well being able to work on own initiative
38. Have the ability to read and interpret engineering documents and drawings
39. A keen eye for detail, pride in delivering quality work and good work ethic
40. A good understanding of technical drawings and be able to interpret safety instructions
41. Resourceful, skilful, self-motivated, able to work without the need for direct supervision
42. Beneficial but not essential: Current or expired coding’s
43. A Forklift truck licence would be advantageous
44. You must have full Right To Work in the UK
45. Experience working with both stainless steel and carbon steel pipework in an industrial setting
46. Be reliable, punctual and trustworthy
47. Available to work overtime & weekends when required is a must
48. Have good communication skills & a good understanding of H&S requirements
49. Comfortable working outside in all elements of weather when required
50. A full UK driving licence
