The role itself:
Reporting directly to the Production Manager, you will lead and manage a production team to achieve daily and weekly targets. You will be responsible for maintaining quality, safety, and performance standards, while fostering a positive team culture.
5. Lead, coach, and motivate your team to meet daily KPIs for output, quality, and efficiency
6. Manage shift operations, including attendance, breaks, overtime, and effective handovers.
7. Conduct performance reviews, identify training needs, and handle disciplinary matters up to verbal warnings.
8. Support daily production planning and ensure accurate completion of shift documentation.
9. Monitor and control raw material usage to minimise waste and maintain stock accuracy.
10. Identify and escalate quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and ensure audit readiness.
11. Maintain a clean, safe working environment and support health & safety and quality audits.
12. Ensure equipment is operational, report faults, and assist with planned maintenance activities.
Your essential ingredients:
13. Previous supervisory experience within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
14. Strong working knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and food safety protocols.
15. Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop teams in a fast-paced environment.
16. Mechanical understanding to assist with minor troubleshooting.
17. Clear, confident communicator who thrives on accountability.
