Job Description
Within the South West region our infrastructure team has strong positions in and. Over the past years we have seen significant growth in the and have a range of opportunities to develop experience across various projects and programmes. We are looking to speak with Project Managers and Senior Project Managers to help us assist our clients deliver high profile projects across a variety of projects in Client PM roles & NEC ECC PM roles.
We are seeking passionate people to join our organisation who have a positive outlook, are seeking development opportunities, and have a strong foundation of technical understanding and experience.
Job Objectives
1. Managing and administrating NEC PSC and/or ECC contracts;
2. Managing, leading and developing project teams or work streams as part of larger projects and delivering results through others;
3. Being responsible for high quality delivery on a client assignment;
4. Building long-term trusted advisor relationships with our clients;
5. Actively developing solutions and supporting tools and methods;
6. Liaising with service line teams, account teams and functional specialists;
7. Communicating effectively and focusing on efficient, collaborative and quality delivery.
Desired Experience:
8. Previous experience of working with UK Government and Local Authority organisations would be beneficial particularly any Flood Risk Asset Management Authorities, Environment Agency and /or Water Companies;
9. Experience in managing small to medium sized teams as part of a blended effort working alongside other organisations;
10. Experience of project management and/or programme management, adding value at the initial strategic planning phase all the way into implementation, construction and delivery in the context of infrastructure projects and programmes;
11. Strong interpersonal skills, comfortable working with a diverse range of personalities across clients and partner organisations;
12. Ability to engage and manage multiple stakeholders and manage cross functional projects;
13. Able to deliver projects within a technically complex environment whilst ensuring high levels of safety and environmental responsibility;
14. Strong analytical and numerical skills / flexibility to rapidly understand complex problems and shape these into workable solutions for delivery;
15. Ability to develop and deliver high quality output against stated business and technical project objectives and meet tight deadlines safely;
16. High level of drive, commitment to achieving solutions, and ability to work under pressure and motivate others with the same objective;
17. Strong planning and organising skills including the ability to manage several work streams simultaneously;
18. Ability to develop concise and effective written presentations and participate effectively in meetings with senior client staff;
19. Previous experience of procurement and managing NEC contracts would be highly advantageous but not essential;
20. Experience of managing contractors, consultants and other advisors on civil engineering projects;
21. Ensure the principles of lessons learnt and knowledge capture are practiced as business as usual;
22. Knowledge and experience of the CDM Regulations;
23. Experience of Engineering/Asset Management;
24. Driving licence ideally required as some driving may be necessary.
Qualifications
Project management certification (APM or PRINCE2);
25. Degree or HND qualification in an engineering or construction field;
26. Professionally qualified or near qualified status with the ICE, CIWEM, APM or similar professional institution would be advantageous;
27. NEC3 or NEC4 PM Accreditation.
28. CITB Site Management Safety Training Course would also be desirable
29. Full UK Driving Licence
