As Electrical & Software Lead Engineer, youll take full ownership of the electrical systems strategy and embedded software development across a growing product range. This is a senior role with real influence and responsibility, managing a small specialist team and acting as the technical lead for integration. The Role You will lead the design, development, integration and delivery of: Electrical and embedded software architecture across the product range CAN Bus networks, diagnostics and ECU integration Embedded control software (functionality, calibration, diagnostics) Wiring harnesses, routing, integration and durability EMC compliance and validation testing Schematics, wiring diagrams, software specifications and integration test plans CE marking support and relevant compliance documentation You will also support prototype builds, validation activity and technical troubleshooting throughout the development and production lifecycle. Leadership Responsibilities This is a hands-on leadership role where you will: Line manage and mentor the EDS Engineer and Software Engineer Allocate tasks, manage priorities and ensure delivery against project milestones Provide technical direction and oversee quality of outputs Lead technical reviews and represent the function within engineering forums Cross-Functional & Supplier Collaboration Youll work closely with: Engineering / project teams to deliver end-to-end system integration Key suppliers (electronics, ECUs, tooling and components) Production and Quality to ensure manufacturability and compliance Service and aftermarket teams (diagnostic strategy and training support) What Were Looking For (Essential) Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or similar Proven leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams Strong knowledge of electrical architecture and wiring harness design Embedded control systems experience (ECU integration/development) CAN Bus networks and diagnostic protocols EMC validation testing experience Strong organisation, communication and problem-solving ability Desirable Experience in OEM product development environments Functional safety knowledge Model-based development exposure (MATLAB/Simulink) Why Apply?
