This is a broad role offering real ownership, suited to someone who combines strong financial discipline with a practical, forward-looking approach to systems, automation and efficiency.
The Opportunity
Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will play a key role in ensuring finance supports informed decision-making, cash management and operational performance across the group.
Your responsibilities will include:
Delivering clear cash flow visibility through regular reporting and forward-looking forecasting
Building and maintaining forecasting models to support planning and growth
Improving month-end processes to enhance speed, accuracy and quality of management accounts
Driving disciplined and effective credit control to support cash collection and working capital
Designing and embedding robust purchase ledger controls and approval workflows
Optimising the use of QuickBooks and associated systems and integrations
Supporting the use of automation and AI-enabled tools to reduce manual processes and improve efficiency
Adapting finance processes to suit both a construction SME and a growing e-commerce business
Your work will directly contribute to improved financial clarity, stronger control and more efficient ways of working across two evolving enterprises.
About You
We are looking for someone who can bring:
Proven hands-on finance experience within an SME or growth-focused environment
Strong foundations in cash flow management, reporting and financial controls
Experience reviewing, implementing and improving finance processes
Confidence working with cloud-based accounting systems and modern finance tools
Adaptability and openness to operating in a business that adopts new technology, including AI
Clear communication skills, with the confidence to engage and challenge constructively
A structured, proactive approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities
