Job Description
Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting a Building Surveyor for a national housing association. This is a permanent position, which is home based, covering a patch across the West Midlands. The salary for this position is £47,058 - £5,424 car allowance, and mileage for any travel can be claimed immediately from home to site.
The role:
* Plan and deliver maintenance programmes for planned and cyclical works, delivering projects from inception to completion
* Prepare specifications of schedules of works for planned improvements and corrective works in line with CDM regulations
* Establish and maintain successful relationships with contractors, ensuring works are delivered to a high standard and provide value-for-money
* Conduct stock condition surveys, using data to inform planned maintenance programmes
What you need:
* Experienced Building Surveyor in a social housing environment
* Minimum HNC/HND in a building related discipline
* Strong understanding of CDM regulations and health and safety
* Strong knowledge of building maintenance and construction processes
