The Site Agent will be based on our Flood Alleviation Scheme, valued at over £25m, involving piling, RC works, earthworks, and civils. The role has overall responsibility for a specific site, typically a large-scale project. The Site Agent acts as the construction leader on-site, managing daily supervision, overseeing site preparation before project launch, and ensuring safe and efficient operations throughout the construction phase.

* Participate in compiling the initial programme and monitor weekly targets.
* Plan and oversee site setup, ensuring facilities are in place before project launch.
* Manage relationships with subcontractors onsite.
* Ensure adherence to HSEQS protocols at all times.
* Maintain quality control procedures.
* Ensure the TWR is current and in place.
* Monitor onsite energy and waste data.
* Implement an efficient registration system for monitoring site access.
* Flag issues to Contract Management/Commercial Teams that could impact project delivery.
* Drive project pace and plan fieldwork.
* Coordinate and prioritize site activities.
* Manage a team of foremen and other site staff.
* Demonstrate strong people management skills.
* Possess knowledge of good industrial relations practices.
* Handle conflicting priorities and stakeholder relationships effectively.
* Communicate effectively with colleagues and clients, adapting style as needed.
* Build consensus among team members and stakeholders.
* Have extensive experience across various sectoral projects, leading teams, and delivering medium to large-scale projects; flood/water experience is desirable.
* Hold a trade or technical background and relevant HSEQS training, including IOSH or equivalent, Temporary Works & Excavation Safety, Working at Heights, Lifting & Cranage, and other site-specific HSE training.
* Be familiar with new construction technologies, BIM strategy, and safety permitting requirements.
