Staff Nurse – Low Secure Male Ward & Blended Secure Female Ward
Overview
We’re looking for compassionate, motivated and enthusiastic Staff Nurses to join our supportive multidisciplinary teams across two specialist inpatient services: a 16-bedded Low Secure Male Ward and a 14-bedded Blended Secure Female Ward.
Roles and Responsibilities
* Deliver evidence-based nursing care and care planning
* Support risk assessment and management within a secure setting
* Work collaboratively with the MDT
* Promote recovery, wellbeing, and trauma‑informed practice
* Lead shifts and support junior staff when needed
* Champion dignity, respect, and patient involvement at every step
* Proactively support reintegration back into the community, linking with third‑party services such as housing and drug and alcohol services and attending all necessary reviews and professional meetings as scheduled
Shift work of day and night shifts covering a 24/7 working week is required.
Qualifications
* Must be able to complete mandatory training for working in secure and forensic inpatient environments, including PMA and Immediate Life Support
* Experience in mental health and ability to work within a secure setting
* Willingness to work in a multidisciplinary, recovery‑focused environment
