Trainee Height Safety Engineer
We have an exciting opportunity to join Keysecure as a Trainee Height Safety Engineer. Training under our industry leading senior engineers, you will learn all aspects of the Height Safety and access industry. This varied trainee role will include extensive training on various types of safety equipment, Telecoms safety, CSCS & NVQs and lead to further career progression within this niche industry.
Job Purpose
To support the team of Engineers working across the UK at our clients' sites, undertaking all aspects of height safety and access engineering. Whilst providing this support, the role holder with build their own knowledge, understanding and competence in the installation & inspection of height safety, rescue and access equipment therefore expanding our team of fully trained engineers.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
* Assisting Engineers with installation of permanent access equipment
* Assisting Engineers with inspections of various safety assets
* Assist with site set up and project delivery
Person Specification
1. Essential Requirements
* Punctual
* High attention to detail
* Good numeracy and literacy levels
* Willing to learn aspects of height safety as directed on different jobs
* Ability to communicate effectively with different groups (team members, internal colleagues and external customers)
* Confident of working at height
* Full clean driving license with a years driving experience
* Flexible with working hours, including working away if required
2. Desirable Requirements
* Confident of working in confined spaces
* Some experience in a construction environment
Role Specification
Job Title: Trainee Height Safety Engineer
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Hours & Location: Full Time position working 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Overtime available. The role is based from our Nuneaton office so local proximity is necessary or joint travelling. Work will be undertaken at our customer sites across the UK. Due to site locations, the role holder will be expected to start work at varied times to include sufficient travel time.
