Job Description
A small, welcoming one-form entry primary school in Woolton is looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join their team. This full-time role will run until July, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
This is a fantastic opportunity to teach a Year 1 class in a supportive and close-knit school community. The school serves families from more affluent backgrounds, and pupils are typically well-supported at home and enthusiastic about their learning.
The Role
• Full classroom responsibility for a Year 1 class
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 National Curriculum
• Deliver high-quality phonics teaching and support pupils developing early reading skills
The Ideal Candidate
• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (Year 1 experience desirable)
• Strong understanding of early reading and phonics development
• Knowledge of Read Write Inc. Phonics is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided
Requirements
• References covering the last 5 years
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
