Description
We are currently recruiting an experienced and professional Head Door Supervisor (SIA Licensed) - part time to lead security operations at a Liverpool based venue
As Head Door Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing security teams, ensuring compliance with licensing objectives, and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for customers, staff, and clients. You will act as the main point of contact on shift, leading from the front and ensuring all procedures are followed to the highest standard. This role will be 20 - 25 hours per week evenings and weekends
Key responsibilities include:
* Supervising and managing security staff on shift
* Delivering team briefings and inducting new staff
* Ensuring all staff comply with venue policies, assignment instructions, and SIA regulations
* Managing entry control, ID checks, and search procedures
* Monitoring customer behaviour and managing incidents proactively
* Completing all required reports, including incident and end-of-shift reports
* Ensuring correct staff uniform, attendance, and professionalism within the team at all times
* Managing staff welfare, breaks, and performance
* Supporting safeguarding and vulnerability initiatives (e.g. WAVE, Ask for Angela)
* Liaising with venue management, police, and local authorities where required
Requirements
Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence
* Proven experience in a Head Door Supervisor or supervisory security role
* Strong knowledge of licensing laws and venue security operations
* Excellent leadership and team management skills
* Confident in handling incidents, conflict management, and de-escalation
* Strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills
* Ability to complete reports accurately and maintain compliance standards
* Flexible availability, shifts will be evenings and weekends
* Right to work in the UK
