We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Third in Charge - Nursery to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Responsibilities
* Assist the nursery manager in overseeing daily operations of the nursery, ensuring smooth and efficient classroom management
* Support the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, including preschool, toddler, and infant care
* Supervise staff and volunteers, providing guidance on best practices in childcare, classroom management, and behavior management techniques
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including first aid procedures and sanitation standards
* Engage with children to foster social skills, emotional well-being, and early learning through interactive play and educational activities
* Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress, needs, and any concerns effectively
* Lead by example in demonstrating caregiving excellence, patience, and enthusiasm for working with children of diverse backgrounds and abilities
Requirements
* Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings
* Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education
* Certification or training in first aid and CPR is essential; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are highly desirable
* Demonstrated classroom experience managing young children's behavior while fostering a positive learning environment
* Familiarity with infant care, toddler care, and classroom management techniques
* Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members effectively
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while demonstrating leadership qualities as the third-in-command
