About the role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of English to join our department at a time of exciting transformational change. You'll be part of shaping a refreshed curriculum, engaging pupils across KS3 and KS4, and supporting our journey to achieve outstanding outcomes. Inspiring students through English opens a window to new perspectives—and the courage to engage with them. Whether you're an experienced teacher or a strong ECT, you'll have the opportunity to innovate, collaborate, and make a real difference to our students' learning.
To be successful in this role, you will:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Have experience of teaching English in a UK secondary school setting, with a proven record of student achievement
* Be committed to inclusive and inspiring teaching that supports all learners
* Share our high expectations for behaviour, achievement and attitude to learning

Lift Firth Park is a vibrant, mixed secondary school for students aged 11–16. Located in Shiregreen, Sheffield, we serve around 1,200 pupils and reflect a richly diverse community, with more than a third of students speaking English as an additional language.
