The Role
Key purpose of the role: To manage and deliver a range of Electrical Building Services design and project management activities across the authority, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
Responsibilities
* Design and specification of Electrical Building Services systems including LV distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarms, small power, controls and low‑carbon technologies
* Lead and support the project management and delivery of Electrical Building Services projects
* Manage and coordinate external consultants, ensuring performance, quality and KPIs are met
* Provide specialist electrical engineering advice to internal and external stakeholders
* Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams across Asset Management and the wider Council
The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require the following essential qualifications:
Essential Qualifications
* Degree / HND / HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
* Membership of a recognised professional institute (e.g. IET)
* Fully conversant with current electrical regulations, including the 18th Edition
Beneficial Skills
* Experience delivering Electrical Building Services projects within the public sector
* Strong project management and organisational skills
* Ability to mentor and support junior engineering staff
Remuneration
£28 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approximately £22 per hour PAYE).
