Property Accountant
Location: Dudley
Salary: £30,000-£35,000

Our client, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Property Accountant to join their growing finance team.
About the Role:
As a Property Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in the financial management of a diverse property portfolio. A key focus of this position will be the preparation, management, and reconciliation of service charge accounts, ensuring full compliance with industry standards and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and reconcile service charge budgets and accounts
Accurately process income and expenditure related to property assets
Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reporting for property owners and stakeholders
Work closely with property managers and external auditors to ensure timely completion of year-end service charge accounts
Review leases and ensure correct application of service charge provisions
Handle tenant queries related to service charges and financial statements
Maintain accurate records in line with RICS Service Charge Code of Practice
Key Requirements:
Proven experience in property accounting, with a strong emphasis on service charge accounting
Solid understanding of the RICS Service Charge Code and best practices in property management finance
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Proficient in accounting software
Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders
Part-qualified or fully qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) is desirable but not essential
