Pilgrims Hospices has an excellent opportunity suited to an experienced Compliance Officer looking for the next step in their career.
The Compliance Officer will work as part of the Corporate Office, providing proactive support to the PA to the CEO, in particular assurance administration in relation to organisational compliance. A flexible ‘can-do’ approach, attention to detail and proactive approach is required to assist with the effective organisation and management of key organisational and compliance information.
Responsibilities of the role will include, but not be limited to, the following:
* Responsible for collating Medical Examiner feedback.
* Responsible for managing Pilgrims Hospices complaints system; co-ordinating responses and documentation in line with Pilgrims Complaints policy.
* Responsible for responding to legal requests to access information, following due process and procedure in relation to Caldicott Guardian and Subject Access Requests.
* Managing Controlled Drugs LIN register and quarterly submissions.
* Maintain contract schedule as required.
* Responsible for maintaining organisational stakeholder register, ensuring it remains updated and relevant.
* Ad hoc support to arrange internal and external meetings as required, including minuting Senior Management Team meetings and others, as required.
* Ensuring published documentation and data is maintained and kept up to date through regular audit and review in line with retention schedule and procedure to support a CQC inspection.
The post holder must ensure that services are provided to a high standard, in line with mandatory and best practice guidelines.
Working Arrangements
This is a permanent, part time position (14-21 hours per week/Tuesday – Thursday) and is based at Pilgrims Hospice Canterbury. You will be provided with on-site parking and subsidised meals during your work day.

* Honest and reliable
* IT literate and confident in the use of Microsoft Office products and remote meeting software and MIS
* A positive ‘can do’ and helpful attitude
* An ability to work well on own initiative
* An ability to maintain confidentiality at all times and work in line with organisational policy and procedures
* Ability to identify business critical issues and raise accordingly
