A long-established, well-regarded high street firm in the Stratford-upon-Avon district is seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancing Solicitor to head up its Conveyancing Department. With strong local roots and a friendly, flexible working culture, this role offers a rare opportunity for a Solicitor looking to step into leadership and contribute to the firm's long-term future.
This is a key appointment as part of a succession and compliance strategy, with the successful candidate working closely with management to support internal promotions and the continued development of the team.
The Role:
* Leading and managing the Residential Conveyancing team based in the Stratford-upon-Avon district.
* Overseeing staff performance, mentoring junior colleagues, and supporting departmental growth.
* Ensuring compliance with Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS), lender panel requirements, and regulatory obligations.
* Handling a manageable residential conveyancing caseload.
* Contributing to wider management and strategic planning across the firm.
Candidate Requirements:
* A qualified Solicitor (ideally 5+ years' PQE) with significant residential property experience.
* Prior experience with or a strong understanding of CQS, lender panel renewals, and compliance procedures.
* Supervisory or team leadership experience is desirable.
* Must be locally based or have strong ties to the Stratford-upon-Avon/Warwickshire area - this role is intended for someone looking for long-term stability and growth, not a stepping stone.
* A collaborative, down-to-earth approach and a genuine interest in team development and firm-wide progression.
What the Firm Offers:
* Salary circa £60,000, with some flexibility for the right candidate.
* Office-based role, with hybrid working considered after a 6-month probation.
* Free parking at the office.
* 23 days' holiday, increasing with length of service (up to 28 days).
* Other benefits to be discussed at interview.
* A welcoming, family-friendly, and flexible working environment.
* A chance to genuinely shape the future of a department and firm with deep local roots and ambitions to grow.
