As our Senior Safety Insight and Business Coordinator you will manage a small team that provides safety insight, safety data, trusted business information and related support services to colleagues in the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Division and around the company. You will manage and assure our H&S performance data is accurate, meets defined performance requirements and supports ad-hoc requests that inform business critical decisions for all our people, from those on the front line to our Executive and Board. You will also manage some of our core business functions supporting the division, alongside using our data to deliver smaller safety-related analysis projects and leading more complicated first line analytical tasks related to health safety and wellbeing insight and improvement.
National Highways has adopted an informal blended working approach, with flexibility to work between your home and the office at your base location. The base location of this roleis The Cube, Birmingham.
What you’ll be leading on
* Lead a small team delivering Highways Accident Reporting Tool (HART) data/information/insight products and services and coordinating activity and monitoring delivery milestones on a daily basis.
* Help, support and develop the Safety Insight and Business Coordinators, providing assistance and guidance with tasks as needed.
* identify and manage projects/tasks identified within data/information/insight programmes of work to ensure these meet their delivery objectives.
* Work with managers in the Performance & Improvement Group to provide input to and support with projects where there is a data/information/insight connection.
* Deliver improvements where first line business process can be improved for our internal and external customers
To be successful you’ll need
* Leading teams managing effective collation of health, safety, wellbeing and business data/information. Promoting a positive safety culture across the organisation.
* Experience of writing and managing high quality reports with the ability to analyse and present to a variety of stakeholders
* Effectively communicating data using appropriate styles, methods and timing to maximise understanding and impact to non-technically minded colleagues.
* Proficient in using MS packages including MS SharePoint, MS Power Apps and Power BI.
* Excellent business and process support experience, with good attention to detail of own work and that of others. Contributes to a positive team environment to support other team members.
