Great classrooms need great sidekicks. Could that be you?
Location: North Tyneside
Salary: £89–£108 per day
Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only
Start Date: September 2025
We’re on the lookout for a caring, reliable Classroom Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in North Tyneside. Whether it’s helping the whole class stay on track or offering gentle 1:1 support, your calm presence and positive energy will help pupils feel seen, supported, and ready to learn.
This is the kind of school where TAs are part of the team—not just an extra pair of hands.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Supporting children across the classroom in a flexible, responsive way
2. Assisting the teacher with learning tasks, routines, and transitions
3. Offering tailored 1:1 or small group support when needed
4. Helping make each day smoother, calmer, and a little more joyful
What we’re looking for:
5. Experience working with children (school, nursery, youth work, or similar)
6. A calm, friendly approach and great communication skills
7. Flexibility and a genuine interest in supporting learning
8. Bonus if you’ve supported children with SEND before—but not essential!
Why this role matters:
Because every teacher needs a brilliant sidekick, and every pupil deserves a steady, smiling face cheering them on. You don’t need teaching experience—just the right attitude and a willingness to get stuck in.
