Woodland Medical Practice is a GP practice in Lincoln, with 6 GPs, an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, 4 practice nurses and 2 Health Care Assistants, serving almost 8,000 patients. The clinical system used is SystmOne.

Hours and Benefits
24 hours per week, days to be agreed, with one late evening per week. 5 weeks annual leave, 1 week study leave, and bank holidays pro rata.
Salary to be agreed based on experience. Free onsite parking. Option to join the NHS Pension Scheme.
Main Responsibilities
* Provide and maintain a high standard of nursing care for patients and support doctors and the primary healthcare team.
* Travel health advice: vaccinations, medicines, safe sex, food hygiene, sun protection.
* Offer advice on childhood and adult vaccinations and administer vaccines under PGP directives.
* Run NHS Health-Checks and health promotion programmes, providing lifestyle advice.
* Document consultations in accordance with NMC guidelines.
* Maintain awareness of statutory and local clinical protection procedures and referral systems; recognise signs of child abuse.
* Provide ear irrigation, cervical cytology smear tests, venepuncture, wound management, suture removal, INR clinic management with INR Star, take ECGs.
* Recognise and manage anaphylaxis and cardiopulmonary resuscitation according to UK guidelines.
* Obtain and document informed consent (verbal or written).
* Maintain infection control and safety guidelines, manage stock and equipment, and protect confidential information.
* Experience in managing chronic disease in primary care.
* Contribute to service needs assessment, patient health needs identification, practice development plans, patient consultation organisation, reporting procedures, staff meetings, clinical governance, evidence‑based guideline implementation.
* Identify personal development needs, participate in supervision, support others’ training, and maintain professional knowledge.
* Maintain industrial relations, practice safety, and foster a learning environment.
* Handle confidential information and comply with confidentiality policies.
* Implement and uphold health & safety, infection control, and professional standards; conduct training, monitor equipment, manage sharps, waste, and maintain sterile environments.
* Support equality, diversity, and safeguarding for children.
* Participate in audit and contribute to service implementation.
Person Specification
* Suitably qualified Registered General Nurse (RGN).
* Relevant experience in a primary care setting, including chronic disease management.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proactive, able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Commitment to continuous professional development.
