Loch Rannoch Hotel, Estate & Spa is a characterful four-star, 52 room lochside resort set within 250 acres, known for warm Highland hospitality, an indoor pool and ESPA spa, and a strong leisure/adventure offering.
Dunalastair Hotel Suites is a five-star, 32-suite hotel reopening in March 2026 following its acquisition by Loch Rannoch Estate Limited. Reopening as part of The Rannoch Collection, the property enters an exciting new chapter after a thoughtful refresh blending contemporary flair with whimsical nods to its Victorian sporting-lodge heritage.
This is a genuine cluster role : youll manage and support the existing front office team at Loch Rannoch, while building, training and setting standards for the Dunalastair front office team ahead of relaunch.
The Role As Cluster Front Office Manager, youll be the day-to-day lead for reception across both properties, ensuring a seamless guest journey from pre-arrival to departure. Youll work closely with senior leadership and operational HODs, and youll also support reservations to help maximise occupancy, drive revenue, and protect standards.
This role is hands-on and guest-facing leading from the front, on the floor, coaching in real time and creating a confident, service-led team.
Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day front office/reception operations across both hotels, ensuring consistent standards and service delivery
Manage, support and develop the existing Loch Rannoch reception team through coaching, feedback and clear expectations
Build and train the Dunalastair front office team as part of the relaunch journey: recruitment support, onboarding, training plans and service standards
Own the guest journey: pre-arrival communication, check-in/check-out, guest requests, VIPs and special occasions
Be the escalation point for guest complaints and service recovery, handling issues calmly, fairly and professionally
Support reservations : booking accuracy, rate/availability awareness, guest requirements, and proactive conversion
Create and implement training programmes (service steps, standards, upselling, product knowledge, systems)
Implement and maintain clear SOPs: handovers, cashing up, audit controls, reporting, and compliance
Work closely with housekeeping, maintenance, F&B and spa/leisure to ensure smooth operations and fast resolution of issues
Bring a commercial mindset to front office: upselling, upgrades, add-ons, and protecting ADR/occupancy through strong processes
Maintain high standards of presentation, professionalism and guest-facing communication at all times
About You Proven experience as a Front Office Manager / Reception Manager (or strong deputy ready to step up) in a quality hotel environment
Confident handling guest complaints and delivering strong service recovery
Strong understanding of hotel commerciality: occupancy, ADR, upselling, and the impact of front office processes on revenue
Comfortable supporting reservations and working with systems, reports and operational detail
A natural leader who loves being guest-facing and coaching on the floor
Strong training mindset: able to build confidence, consistency and standards in a team
Calm under pressure, highly organised, and able to manage priorities across two properties
Flexible to work evenings, weekends and peak periods
Experience in a remote/location-led property is a plus (planning and standards matter)
