We are seeking a meticulous and reliable individual to join our precision manufacturing team as a Final View Inspector. This role is ideal for someone with a strong eye for detail, an understanding of inspection techniques, and a commitment to ensuring products meet customer and company standards. The successful candidate will perform final visual and dimensional inspections, complete required documentation, and work closely with production and quality teams to maintain high levels of product conformity. Key Responsibilities Carry out final visual inspections of finished components to detect surface defects, contamination, incorrect assembly and other non-conformances. Perform dimensional checks using hand tools (micrometres, vernier calipers, gauges) and basic measuring equipment in accordance with inspection plans. Interpret drawings, specifications and inspection criteria to ensure parts comply with customer and internal requirements. Record inspection results accurately on job cards, OV sheets and quality documentation. Raise and document non-conforming material, initiate corrective actions and communicate issues to production and quality engineering teams. Ensure traceability and correct labelling of accepted and rejected parts. Maintain a clean, organised inspection area and ensure tools and gauges are calibrated and stored correctly. Support continuous improvement by suggesting process or inspection changes to reduce defects and improve throughput. Adhere to health and safety procedures, wearing required PPE and contributing to a safe working environment. Work to production targets and assist with material handling when required. Raising of shipping documentation and booking on customer portals Essential Skills Strong attention to detail and visual acuity. Basic proficiency with measuring instruments such as micrometres, verniers and go/no-go gauges. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and inspection instructions. Good written and verbal communication skills for accurate reporting and team interaction. Reliable and punctual with the ability to work to targets and established schedules. Basic IT literacy to complete electronic records where required. Problem-solving mindset and willingness to follow procedures. Team player with adaptability to changing production needs. Qualifications and Experience Previous experience in a final inspection, quality control or assembly inspection role preferred. Familiarity with inspection techniques and CMM reports is an advantage. Experience using hand measuring tools and basic inspection equipment. Knowledge of standard quality documentation and non-conformance reporting procedures. Relevant vocational or technical qualification desirable but not essential; full training can be provided for the right candidate.
