Responsibilities
* Prepare and bake a variety of cakes and traybakes according to established recipes and standards.
* Assist in the daily operations of the kitchen, including food production and presentation.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and high-quality food output.
* Participate in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes.
* Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
* Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned after use.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in food production, preparation, or cooking within a professional kitchen environment.
* Culinary qualifications or relevant training is highly desirable.
* Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
* Experience in baking is an advantage but not essential.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy setting.
* A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work well within a team.
