Main duties of the job
Asa Senior Clinical Systems Officer, you will work alongside a productive,supportive team of clinical systems professionals.
Youwill support the implementation, maintenance, and optimisation of clinicalinformation systems within Navigo.
Thepost holder will provide specialist advice, system configuration, and ongoingsupport to clinicians and administrative staff, ensuring that electronicpatient records (EPRs) and other clinical systems meet the operational andstrategic needs of Navigo. You willcontribute to system upgrades, testing, data quality initiatives, and changemanagement processes, with a particular focus on improving digital maturity inmental health settings.
This role is ideal for someone with a keen interest in digitalhealthcare, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach tosupporting frontline teams.

Responsiblefor the technical configuration and ongoing optimisation of the organisationsclinical systems, including TPP SystmOne, InPhase Quality Management System,and other relevant platforms.
Collaboratewith Clinical Leads and system suppliers to ensure configurations meetorganisational requirements, national dataset standards, performanceindicators, and contractual obligations.
Useexpert knowledge of clinical systems to identify opportunities to enhancesystem functionality, workflows, and end-user experience.
Planand conduct thorough testing of new functionality and configurations deliveredthrough system upgrades. Where possible, create and execute tailored test plansand scripts in advance, reflecting local configuration and minimising risk toorganisational services.
Wherechanges are introduced without advance notice from suppliers, promptly identifyand assess the impact of these changes. Work with Clinical Systems Trainer(s)to test updates and communicate relevant changes to end users.
Identifyrisks associated with clinical system usage and collaborate with operationalteams to mitigate these risks.
Analyseissues and incidents to identify root causes and implement effective solutionsrelating to the clinical systems.
Maintainsystem integrity and data security, including the completion of system auditsand monitoring user access.
Manageand maintain user accounts for the organisations clinical systems in line withinformation governance policies.
Providefirst-line support for clinical system users, resolving queries where possibleand escalating through agreed support pathways as necessary.

Communicatecomplex clinical coding rules and standards effectively to coding staff,clinicians, and administrative teams to ensure consistency and compliance.
Ensurecoding staff are informed of changes to national coding policies by monitoringupdates from NHS Digital and circulating relevant information.
Applyexpert knowledge of mental health clinical coding standards, medicalterminology, and anatomy and physiology to support accurate and consistentcoding practice.
Successfullycomplete the Mental Health Clinical Coding Course and participate in refreshertraining as required to maintain competency.
Act asthe organisations SNOMED CT lead, maintaining specialist knowledge of SNOMEDcoding and supporting its implementation and correct usage across relevantsystems.
Contributeto and maintain the clinical coding section within the organisations DataQuality Policy, ensuring it remains aligned with national guidance and bestpractice.
