Behaviour Mentor - Secondary School in Bolton
Are you passionate about supporting young people and helping them overcome challenges? A secondary school in Bolton is looking for a Behaviour Mentor to join their team after the Easter break. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference by supporting students with behavioural, social, and emotional needs in a mainstream school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work closely with students who require additional behaviour support, offering guidance and mentoring.
* Build positive relationships with students to help them develop confidence and resilience.
* Implement behaviour management strategies to encourage engagement in learning.
* Work alongside teachers, pastoral teams, and SENCOs to create personalised support plans.
* Support students both in class and through one-to-one interventions.
Minimum Requirements:
* Experience working with young people in an educational, youth work, or pastoral setting.
* Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to de-escalate challenging situations.
* A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students.
* The ability to build rapport and act as a positive role model.
* A relevant qualification in education, psychology, youth work, or similar is desirable but not essential.
