Overview
Job title: Receptionist. Location: MOD Abbey Wood, Bristol, BS34 8JH. Salary: £16,424.10 per annum. Contract: Permanent, Part Time. Hours: 25 hours per week. Shift pattern: around two shift patterns (07:30 to 13:00 one week; 13:00 to 18:00 the following week).
An exciting opportunity to join an experienced and versatile team delivering top-notch services at MoD Abbey Wood. Previous security clearance is encouraged but not essential for applicants. We are seeking a receptionist who is enthusiastic and adaptable, with responsibilities including Access Control.
Main Duties
The main duties of the role include providing reception services as the first point of contact for general inquiries and all persons wishing to enter the facility. The role will also involve assisting with the controlled access of entitled personnel onto the site, as well as helping at the visitor car park when required. Other reasonable tasks may be assigned, such as covering for other team members and performing building management and access control duties. The successful candidate will be expected to actively promote a safe working culture and adhere to health and safety procedures, processes, and laws.

* Confident, self-motivated, and able to use their initiative; highly responsive to company and customer needs.
* Proactive, consistent, able to multitask, and adaptable to changing business needs.
* Working knowledge of health and safety requirements.
* Effective interpersonal communication skills and good customer-facing abilities.
* Flexible approach to shifting priorities and basic IT literacy in Microsoft applications.
Additional Information
MOD security clearance and DBS Standard required. To meet national security vetting requirements, you will normally need to have been resident in the UK for at least 3 years to gain a Counter Terrorist Check, 5 years for Security Clearance and 10 years for Developed Vetting prior to the date of application. All Developed Vetting posts are required to be UK Nationals.
Proof of right to work in the UK is essential.
