Live-in Carer Opportunity – Liverpool \nLocation: Liverpool (University Campus)\nSalary: From £1,000-£1,500 per week \nRotation: 1 week on / 1 week off (open to discussion)\nContract Type: Permanent\n\nWe are recruiting a live-in carer to support a vibrant and ambitious university student living with a C6/7 spinal cord injury. This is a unique opportunity to work in a university setting, supporting an independent young woman as she pursues her degree in Maths and Computer Science.\n\nAbout the Client:\n\nSustained a spinal cord injury in 2021\n\nPreviously studying medicine; now back at university full-time\n\nLives independently on campus in wheelchair-accessible accommodation\n\nEnjoys a busy social life and attends church on Sundays\n\nStrong personality, directs her care, and values having control over her routines\n\nUses both manual and powered wheelchairs\n\nCarer Responsibilities:\n\nFull personal care (morning and evening support)\n\nAssistance with bowel care every 3 days and catheter management (suprapubic)\n\nHelp with laundry, cleaning, and keeping the accommodation tidy\n\nSupport during evenings and weekends for meals, personal care, and social activities\n\nDrive client’s WAV (Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle) for errands, appointments, church, and social outings\n\nBe available on-call during the day (significant downtime while client attends lectures)\n\nOccasionally work alongside psychologist to ensure emotional wellbeing and consistency in care\n\nIdeal Carer Profile:\n\nDriver with full UK licence \n\nConfident driving an automatic Wheelchair accessable vehicle\n\nEmotionally mature, respects boundaries, and understands how to take direction gracefully\n\nAble to build trust and work as part of a small, consistent team\n\nWhy This Role?\n\nMake a real impact supporting someone on her academic and personal journey\n\nEnjoy structured working hours with regular downtime\n\nJoin a long-term, stable care arrangement in a respectful and supportive environment\n\nOpportunity for ongoing collaboration with a psychologist for carer wellbeing and guidance\n\nInterviews ongoing – immediate start available.\n\nIf you're a compassionate, reliable carer who meets the profile and wants to be part of an inspiring young woman’s life, we'd love to hear from you.\n\n(url removed)
