Role: Property & Casualty Claims Handler

Location: Remote (occasional trips to office for training or meetings)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent or 12 months FTC (if preferred)

Hours: 35 hours per week, no evenings or weekends



About the Role:

Sedgwick Resource Solutions are looking for an experienced, confident, and self- motivated Claims Handler to join our team, focusing on assisting our client with Property & Casualty insurance claims. In this role, you’ll work closely with our clients outsourced partners — including TPAs, MGAs, legal teams, and auditors — to make sure claims are handled efficiently, fairly, and in line with our clients’ standards. You’ll also be a point of contact for technical claims issues, helping to manage relationships, monitor performance, and ensure excellent service is delivered.


This role offers a unique opportunity to work within a specialist team, where you will be ‘loaned’ out by Sedgwick to both internal and external clients to offer your expertise. The opportunity allows successful candidates to enhance their skillset, network with a diverse range of clients, develop knowledge of a variety of systems, and still be supported by your team and Sedgwick. Each assignment typically lasts between 3–12 months, meaning that no two days will ever be the same!


Successful candidates will be employed on a secondment model, meaning you will be assigned to various teams based on business needs. While the assignments are temporary in nature, this is a permanent role, and after one secondment concludes, you will transition to another project within the organisation. For this reason, you will need to be comfortable with change and have the ability adapt based on the current assignment.

This role is fully remote; however, when working with our clients, you may be required to travel to their offices for training (including overnight stays, paid for by the company). You may also be required to attend our offices for meetings and events.



Your Responsibilities:


* Manage a caseload of property and casualty claims from cradle to grave.
* Act as the main contact for technical claims questions and support.
* Work with third-party claims handlers to ensure they understand client needs and deliver great service.
* Use data and reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
* Build strong relationships with partners across the UK and Europe.
* Oversee complex or non-standard claims and delegated authority arrangements.
* Help manage contracts, service expectations, and fee agreements with outsourced providers.
* Support audits and quality reviews, ensuring follow-up actions are completed.
* Handle complaints and ensure they’re properly logged and resolved.
* Collaborate with underwriters, brokers, and clients to resolve issues and share insights.
* Keep systems and documentation accurate and up to date.



About You:

* Min 2 years’ experience in Property & Casualty claims handling
* Able to hit the ground running with minimal supervision.
* Ability to pick up new systems and processes quickly and efficiently.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships.
* Comfortable working with data and reports to monitor performance.
* Organised, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities.
* A team player who can also work independently and take initiative.
* A genuine interest in improving processes and delivering excellent service.

Remote workers must be UK based, you are not able to work remotely outside of the UK
