About The Role
Hoare Lea invites you to join our team as a Senior or Principal Electrical Engineer based in one of our Plymouth or Exeter offices. As part of a collaborative, knowledge‑rich, highly engaged team, you will develop and deliver designs for multi‑disciplinary projects across a range of built environment sectors, support and grow a team of technically competent colleagues and secure repeat and new business opportunities.
Responsibilities
* Lead day‑to‑day technical delivery of electrical design services for multi‑disciplinary projects across several building sectors.
* Develop initial strategic concepts for projects, ensuring solutions are appropriate for brief and regulatory standards.
* Interact with internal and external stakeholders, attending project meetings and translating brief within team.
* Help monitor fee expenditure, resources and work delivered with team leader.
* Mentor and support next‑generation professionals, including apprentices and graduates.
About You
* Proven experience delivering complex projects as an Electrical Engineer or closely related role.
* Experience of modern technical delivery processes and use of software/tools such as BIM, Revit, Electrical OM, Dialux and Relux.
* Demonstrable experience working with clients/contractors/architects in a design‑oriented/consultant role.
* Self‑awareness, open mind and spirit of generosity.
* Experience supporting others to develop knowledge, skills and confidence.
