Overview
Registered Nurse (Nights) – Abundant Grace, Seaford. This is a maternity leave cover role starting 25 December and ending 26 September. Hours: 48 per week, Nights (8pm – 8am). Reporting to the Home Manager. The role supports our Dementia/Nursing Home Abundant Grace in Seaford.
Responsibilities
* Maintain high standards of patient care ensuring the health, safety and welfare of all residents.
* Champion patient choice and autonomy, and ensure staff work in a dignified and respectful manner.
* Support and assist in managing the whole care team when on duty; collaborate with colleagues to ensure excellent resident care and exemplary communication.
* Promote good morale and continuously strive to improve effective team working and support teams that need development.
* Foster relationships with families, advocates and next of kin, and keep them informed of changes to residents’ wellbeing.
* Ensure all documentation is complete, concise and timely; generate and review individualized care plans as residents’ needs change; document events and communications with outside agencies and professionals.
Essential qualifications
* At least 1 year of nursing experience
* Nursing degree or equivalent qualification
* Ability to prioritise tasks to achieve satisfactory outcomes
* Good verbal and non-verbal reporting skills
* Previous clinical experience in geriatric, frailty, end-of-life and dementia care

* Ability to think on your feet and work under pressure with multiple tasks
* Strong communication skills and confidence when interacting with staff, residents, managers and contractors
* Some IT skills (e.g., Excel, Word, MS Office); accuracy and attention to detail
Package
* Pay £22.88 per hour on Weekdays; £24.02 per hour on Weekends
* 36-hour permanent contract
