Key Responsibilities:
* Using your experience you will be responsible for inspection of parts in a heavy engineering facility.
* The parts to be inspected will include welded and fabricated parts as well as dimensional inspection.
* You will be responsible for traceability and ensuring that standards are met in highly regulated industries.
* Occasional visit to other sites in the UK, when there are international projects this role may require short visits abroad however this depends entirely on the projects which are ongoing at that time and business needs.
* Conducting inspections of welded components to verify compliance with specifications and quality standards.
* Performing dimensional analysis using precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
* Reviewing engineering drawings and documentation to ensure accuracy and manufacturability.
* Collaborating with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
* Documenting inspection results and maintaining accurate records of quality control processes.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Desirable (not essential)- PCN Level 2 MPI, PCN Level 2 / CSWIP 3.1 – Visual and RWC
* Previous experience in quality inspection, with a focus on welding and dimensional analysis.
* Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify defects or discrepancies.
* Familiarity with precision measurement tools and inspection techniques.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
