Full Stack Software Engineer (Focus 5 Recruitment)

Focus 5 Recruitment are working with an exciting software business who have just been awarded 2 large contracts with international Mobile Network Operators. Appointed to help them source suitable Full Stack Software Engineers, we’re looking for candidates who have experience of producing efficient code to enable the smooth and efficient running of both internal and client facing systems.

This is an amazing opportunity to work with a growing and ambitious software business who have contracts with some of the world’s leading mobile network companies. They are looking for candidates who can come in at a key point in their growth and develop their career as they grow. The Software Engineers will work as part of a team responsible for the complete development lifecycle.

* 3+ years of full stack development experience
* Strong Java
* Unit testing (with a side of TDD), Maven, Git and a sense of humor.
* Working in a team development environment
* Thorough understanding of Computer Science fundamentals such as Data Structures, Algorithms and Design Patterns
* Amazon Web Services, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
* Kafka

* SQL and NoSQL technologies

You will have knowledge of software development and some exposure to mentoring junior Engineers would be a benefit. You will be happy solving technical problems for customers even if this means working with new technologies.

They have a vast array of already built products so candidates will have a lot of working product source code to help get started. Technical help also be provided on how their current products work. There is opportunity here to work with embedded software developers and the CTO on overall product. Client and Server are always developed collaboratively so there is an opportunity to contribute to overall product architecture.

Mid/Senior Django / Full‑Stack Engineer (Europe or Africa based – Fully remote)

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a project for a US-based B2B SaaS client who has a very successful real estate CRM platform.

We’re looking for a Mid/Senior engineer with Python and Django experience (and some React) to join Overloop. We are a close-knit small team, committed to quality code, processes that work, honesty, and seeing things through to completion. A typical working day will involve a 20 minute catch up call to kick off the day, reviewing requirements and/or bug reports, coding, discussing over Slack and Google Hangouts, creating a github PR, getting the PR reviewed and seeing your code get to production to make a difference for our clients.

* Python, 4+ years
* Django, 3+ years

Experience in the following areas would be a benefit:

Approximate salary range - £55,000 - £60,000 per year - depending on experience. If you prefer to be a self employed contractor, we are happy to discuss hourly rates instead.

The successful candidate may also be required to be scheduled on a rota once a month for on‑call support work to fix any potential outages – this of course comes with additional payment to the above.

Full Stack Engineer (Next & Nest) – Fully Remote – Cybersecurity Start‑Up

£65k - £90k (plus equity and benefits) depending on if you fill the mid‑level or senior‑level role. We are seeking 2 Engineers. The role is fully remote.

I am partnering with an international (New York, Singapore) well‑funded, analyst‑recognised cyber security scale‑up (nearly $30m raised) that helps large enterprises and critical infrastructure providers understand how they could be hacked in real time. Their platform blends threat intelligence, real attacker telemetry and automated red teaming to give security teams time to respond before attackers succeed.

* You will join a small, high‑calibre team building the core customer‑facing applications
* Design, build and maintain features across backend and frontend
* Turn product and design requirements into scalable, high‑quality code
* Collaborate with product, design and engineering to deliver seamless user experiences
* Solve challenges around performance, scalability and developer efficiency
* Help improve engineering standards, tooling and processes
* We are seeking two engineers, one mid‑level and one Senior‑level to build enterprise SaaS products across the full stack (cybersecurity experience is a strong plus)
* Backend: TypeScript, NestJS, REST APIs, GraphQL or similar ORM, MySQL and NoSQL, Kafka or similar

Senior Full Stack Engineer – Payments & Checkouts (Remote Europe – Up to £100K)

We are looking for a highly capable Full‑Stack Engineer who will serve as a core innovator driving the evolution of our PhixFlow platform across three critical areas:

Software Developer – COBOL to Java Conversion

As an IBM Application Architect, you directly help clients transform their business and solve complex problems. You will define the scope and vision for projects that deliver customized solutions using your knowledge of IBM platforms. You are a technical leader, serving as a liaison among business partners, technical resources, and project stakeholders.

The position will focus primarily on the delivery of the Software Conversion projects – using automated refactoring with CTU. The work involves responsibilities such as maintaining the Java support library, integrating new libraries, solution customization, and building automation around processes.

* Design Java solutions for modernising legacy applications
