The Role The role of Head Housekeeper is to be in charge of the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring standards are maintained and departmental objectives are achieved. The ideal candidate would possess outstanding communication and organisation skills and have the ability to prioritise tasks. At least one year's experience in a similar position is preferred We are looking for someone who is passionate about hospitality and reliable. Requirements of the Role Oversee daily housekeeping operations, ensuring all rooms and public areas meet cleanliness standards. Lead, manage, and motivate the housekeeping team to deliver excellent guest service. Ensure high levels of guest satisfaction by anticipating needs and resolving issues promptly. Manage maintenance reporting and implement preventative maintenance procedures. Recruit, train, induct, and performance-manage team members in line with company standards. Plan rotas and staffing levels to meet business needs while controlling labour costs. Control departmental budgets, stock, and supplies to minimise waste and manage costs. Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, Fire Safety, COSHH, and legal requirements. Maintain hotel security and protect guest and company property at all times. Liaise with other departments, attend meetings, and undertake Duty Manager shifts as required. Knowledge of Guestline/Reslynx would be useful, not essential as full training will be given. Evening work may be required occasionally to support Evening Turndown.
