Principal Salesforce Technology Lead
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Salesforce Technology Lead is a strategic role accountable for driving technology decisions aligned with the goals of a newly established Salesforce practice. This position ensures technological innovation, commercial viability, and a competitive advantage in the delivery of Salesforce services.
Key responsibilities include:
* Shaping the technology direction and influencing strategy for the Salesforce practice.
* Serving as a technical advisor to internal stakeholders and C-level clients.
* Representing the organization as a technology thought leader and Salesforce evangelist.
* Leading the development of AI-driven and innovative solutions that elevate client outcomes.
* Overseeing the quality and integrity of the Salesforce technology approach across all engagements.
* Acting as a senior technical liaison with clients, Salesforce UK, and partners.
* Publishing thought leadership and promoting collaboration across the Salesforce ecosystem.
* Contributing to business development efforts by identifying and qualifying opportunities.
* Supporting pre-sales, bids, and proposal work with a focus on secure, scalable, standards-aligned solutions.
* Developing and mentoring technical talent within the Salesforce domain.
MINIMUM (ESSENTIAL) REQUIREMENTS:
* Proven experience leading diverse types of technology deliveries, including service projects, multi-team programmes, and product implementations.
* Extensive senior-level experience on large-scale Salesforce implementations, ideally in the UK public sector.
* Strong knowledge of delivery methodologies tailored for SaaS environments.
* Deep understanding of Salesforce architecture, including Sales, Service, Experience, and Data Cloud.
* Certifications including Salesforce Certified Application Architect and/or System Architect (Certified Technical Architect preferred).
* Familiarity with integration technologies and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Microsoft 365.
* Demonstrated ability to deliver secure, compliant solutions aligned with UK government regulations and standards.
* Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of attracting, developing, and mentoring high-performing technical teams.
* Commercial acumen and experience supporting bids within frameworks like G-Cloud, DOS, and TS3.
* Effective conflict resolution, negotiation, and stakeholder relationship management capabilities.
* Willingness to travel across the UK for client workshops and Salesforce events (approx. 6 days per month).
DESIRABLE:
* Active SC or DV clearance (eligibility to obtain clearance is essential).
* Additional Salesforce certifications, particularly in specialized areas such as Public Sector Solutions.
