Job Title: Band 4 Dental Nurse

Position Details:
* Band 4 Dental Nurse
* 22.5 hours/week (0.6 WTE)
* Working days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday
* Location: Attwood Green Health Centre, Birmingham
Responsibilities include providing high-quality dental care across various settings within the Dental Service, including Mobile Clinics, external sites, and Birmingham Dental Hospital. Dental Nurses will work flexibly across the Community Dental Services.
Main Duties:
* Provide chairside assistance to clinicians.
* Carry out clerical and administrative duties for efficient clinic operation.
* Maintain high standards of patient care and confidentiality.
* Prepare and monitor patients before, during, and after treatment, including providing pre- and post-operative instructions.
* Manage dental equipment and instruments, arranging repairs as needed.
* Ensure medical emergency drugs and equipment are up-to-date and available.
* Assist during general anaesthetic and exodontia sessions and provide postoperative instructions.
* Provide oral health education to patients.
* Support the Senior Dental Nurse and clinicians, including students and apprentices.

Person Specification:
Education:
* Dental Nurse qualification registered with the General Dental Council (GDC), e.g., NVQ Level 3, Diploma, or equivalent.
* Registered with the GDC.
Experience:
* Experience working as part of a dental team in settings such as general practice, hospital, or community dental services.
* Experience working with children, elderly, medically compromised, or learning-disabled patients.

Salary: £26,530 to £29,114 per annum (pro-rata).
