Salary: MPS/UPS + TLR (depending on experience)

We are working with a well-regarded secondary school in Hemel Hempstead seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic History Lead to join their humanities faculty from September 2025.
About the Role:
Lead the History department, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning.
Develop and deliver a rich, engaging History curriculum at KS3–KS4 (and KS5 if applicable).
Support and mentor staff within the department.
Monitor student progress and drive outcomes.
Contribute to whole-school initiatives and the wider life of the school.
✅ The Ideal Candidate:
A qualified teacher with UK QTS (or equivalent).
Strong subject knowledge and a track record of excellent classroom practice.
Experience teaching History at KS3–KS4 (KS5 desirable).
Leadership experience or a desire to step into a middle leadership role.
A commitment to inclusive education and high aspirations for all learners.
