Main Purpose of the role This role will take the overall responsibility and accountability for the accurate receipt and put away of inbound goods to suitable warehouse locations and maintain the highest standard of warehouse operations. Training and development of the inbound team. Attendance management of the team (sickness/holiday etc). Primary Responsibilities To lead the team with the following tasks Receipt of purchased items from the supplier Receipt of returned goods form customers Maintain the location control inc. movement of overflowing parts to larger locations Receipt of production/subassembly parts Pick parts for production/aftersales within company process Perform cycle counting Highlighting of issues to purchasing/spares should they arise Recording of all transactions and filing of inbound documents To make a positive contribution to continuous improvement activities. To meet all deadlines and targets set by Team Leader / Manager. To ensure that KPI targets for RFT, efficiency, cost and service are consistently achieved. To adhere to UK Health and Safety Regulations and safe working practices. What skills are we looking for? To be successful in this role, you will have excellent team leader skills, must be IT literate with good numeracy and literacy skills. You will have excellent understanding of the stores discipline, procedures and health and safety. You will have previous proven experience of working in a manufacturing environment, consistently achieve ‘Right First Time’ performance against cost and time scale targets with a positive attitude.
