The Role:
Join our friendly and supportive team, as a Chef at Hawthorne Court residential care home for older adults.
What you’ll do:
1. Oversee daily catering operations, ensuring high-quality meal preparation and service
2. Supervise catering assistants, organising tasks and ensuring efficient time management
3. Monitor meal quality, presentation and adherence to dietary requirements
4. Ensure compliance with food hygiene and health and safety regulations
5. Plan menus with the Chef Manager, catering to special diets, and organising special events
What we’re looking for:
6. Level 2 catering qualifications
7. Previous experience of catering, preferably in a similar setting
8. Good communication and interpersonal skills
9. Ability to work calmly under pressure and adapt to changing situations and demands
10. Strong organisational skills
11. Commitment to providing high quality food and service
12. Compassion, empathy and respect for the residents and their unique needs
