Technical Support Engineer / Applications Engineer / Instrumentation Engineer / Service Engineer / Instrumentation Specialist required for a global manufacturer located in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. The Technical Support Engineer / Instrumentation Engineer / Applications Engineer will provide technical support and site support (includes international travel 20-30 trips a year) on faulty equipment or reviewing the application resulting in fixing or replacing the product. An engineering background is essential, with knowledge of process industries, instrumentation, test and measurement, meters, sensors, pressure level, temperature measurement, flow meters, measurement devices or flow related equipment being beneficial. This position is commutable from Northampton, Kettering, Wellingborough, Corby, Bedford. This is a hybrid working position with 2 days in the office, with frequent international travel to customer sites. Package: Salary up to £50,000 dependent on experience. Bonus scheme. Pension Responsibilities: You will provide technical support to customers with instrumentation and flow meters going into a range of process industries including oil & gas, chemical, refineries, food manufacturing, shipping and other industries. Responsible for first line support for technical queries and problem-solving Working together with Product Management to resolve technical and application problems Support customers with faults remotely, travelling to international sites for troubleshooting if required. Support Service in analysing faults Assisting in the technical selection of equipment for sales projects & enquiries International site visits - expected 20-30 trips a year Work closely with the Product Management team on technical documentation. Support sales & projects enquiries. Complete testing of meters, including writing reports for specific tests Hybrid working pattern, office in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire (2 days a week from home) Requirements: Previous experience in a similar position, providing technical support or hands on engineering experience looking for a dual office and site based role An engineering background is essential, with knowledge of process industries, instrumentation, meters, sensors, pressure level, temperature measurement, flow meters, measurement devices or flow related equipment being advantageous. An engineering qualification An engineering background in process markets such as oil & gas, refineries, chemical and food manufacturing will be of particular interest Previous experience as a Technical Support Engineer / Applications Engineer / Instrumentation Engineer / Service Engineer / Instrumentation Specialist / Instrumentation Technician or similar.
