What's involved with this role: Interim Team Manager - ASC Reference no: Stoke on Trent 5246724 Pay Rate: £52.59 per hour PAYE 37 Monday – Friday, normal working hours This opening assignment is for 2-3 months City: STOKE ON TRENT Provide management oversight to the Social Work service ensuring that the local authority’s statutory duties and responsibilities are delivered effectively – to support and supervise the staff who are delivering the service - contribute to maintaining effective relationships with partner organisations, both internally and externally to the Local Authority. Key Responsibilities: Assist the Strategic Manager in the overall management of the staff and resources of the team with particular emphasis on practice to ensure the delivery of a high-quality service. Contributes to the overarching strategy around Adult Safeguarding – ensuring that immediate protection planning is considered once an adult at risk has been identified. Ensure the regular and effective analysis, monitoring, measurement and maintenance of the performance of the team against agreed targets and performance indicators. To analyse, audit, monitor and support each team members contribution towards targets. Support the Strategic Manager in the identification of resource shortages and contribute to the planning and development of services. Ensure the health and safety of staff and individuals, and the safety of equipment and operations within the team, in accordance with the Health & Safety Act. Produce and implement a team business plan as required and in accordance with directorate and corporate policy. Establish, maintain and build effective relationships with key partner agencies including the NHS, Police and voluntary sector. Deputise on behalf of the Strategic Manager as required. Lead on and take part in the reviewing and implementation of policy and procedures across the service Attend and participate in any identified sub groups where information is shared and decisions are made in a specific practice area.
