Sanctuary Supported Living is recruiting for a Catering Assistant at Retirement Communities Service at Dunboyne Court, Torquay. The role involves delivering catering services as part of a broader housing, care and support offering to help people live as independently as possible.

Responsibilities
* Helping to prepare meals and drinks, following food hygiene standards
* Working with customers, families, advocates, and staff to ensure a high standard of services
* Undertaking general duties as assigned, such as maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen, communal areas and customers’ flats
* Identifying and reporting potential faults and hazards on site, to maintain a safe environment
* Maintaining stock levels, restocking as required and ensuring equipment is used in line with guidance notes
Skills and experience
* Some experience of working in a catering/hospitality environment is desirable
* Working knowledge and experience of undertaking general cleaning duties is desirable
* Good interpersonal and customer service skills
* A general understanding of health and safety in the workplace
* NVQ2 in Hospitality & Catering, or willing to work towards is desirable
