We are looking for a motivated mental health nurse to join our busy depot/clozapine clinic at Brighton General Hospital. The successful candidate will have experience working with people diagnosed with severe and enduring mental illness in the community and can demonstrate competency in running busy treatment clinics. You will need to be reliable, confident, honest, flexible, and dedicated to maintaining high-quality treatment standards.
The role includes managing a caseload as Lead Practitioner for appropriately identified clients and working as part of the East Assessment and Treatment Service multidisciplinary team in the clinic. Regular liaison with Primary Care colleagues is also required. The team includes junior staff HCAs and an STR, who will require guidance and supervision to maximize service delivery.
Minimum Requirements
1. Registered Nurse with current registration (mental health/LD/Adult)
2. Completion of Mentorship Course/ENB equivalent
3. Evidence of continuous professional development and significant post-qualifying experience
4. Experience working with people with complex health problems
5. Experience providing clinical interventions
6. Experience working consultatively with professionals
7. Experience conducting clinical and risk assessments
8. Experience in partnership working across various teams and agencies
9. Experience working within the CPA process
10. Understanding of clinical governance
11. Previous community-based work experience and UK professional registration
