What will I be doing?
You will be:
1. You will be reporting into the Transfer Station Site Manager, you will look after the day-to-day operation of the busy Transfer Station.
2. To oversee the operation and routine maintenance of mobile plant items.
3. Ensure that recycling and diversion from landfill is maximised as much as possible.
4. Responsible for the correct use of the permit to work system.
5. Booking of Contractors loads out of the site
6. Any other reasonable request or duties
What are the requirements?
7. A broad knowledge of mobile plant and any other applicable equipment used within the Waste Management and Recycling.
8. Certification of mobile plant used in site is desirable, although training may be given.
9. An understanding of safe waste handling and recycling practices is desirable.
10. Previous experience of a similar role would be advantageous.
11. A degree of overtime and flexibility is required, as the operations run over a 7-day working week, including all English Bank Holidays.
