Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in various settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and childcare environments. The role involves assisting clients with daily activities, medication administration, and behaviour management while ensuring their safety and well-being.


Duties

* Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
* Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a positive environment.
* Implement behaviour management strategies to support clients with specific needs, including those with dementia.
* Maintain accurate records of client care and report any concerns to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional.
* Drive clients to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their comfort and safety during transport.
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care tailored to each client\'s needs.


Experience

* Previous experience in a nursing home or assisted living setting is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with medication administration protocols and first aid procedures is essential.
* Experience in childcare or working with individuals who require special care will be considered an asset.
* A background in behaviour management techniques is advantageous for this role.
* Candidates should possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
