We are looking for a Duty Security Manager to provide support to Site Officers, Colleagues and Customers in the provision of safety and security at Channel 4, always adopting the principles contained within both the Colleague and Customer charters. You will be working an average of 42 hours per week on a 4 days, 4 off, 4 nights, 4 off rotation. Shifts will be 07:00 - 19:00 for Days and 19:00 - 07:00 for Nights. Must hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor and CCTV Licence. Previous experience in a similar or supervisory role. Must have at least 3-years’ experience in the security guarding sector. Excellent IT Skills including Microsoft Software Packages (e.g. Excel) Able to achieve vetting to BS7858 Standards What are you going to do: Be responsible for all operational colleagues and have a full understanding of the functions covered including; manned guarding, electronic solutions (e.g. CCTV and Access Control), key holding, incident response, fire evacuatio To be responsible for day-to-day rostering and covering of short notice blowouts / ATC shifts Ensure compliance of the Security team with Assignment Instructions, SOPs and other processes. Be responsible for security audits including first aid supplies, fire extinguisher checks and panic alarm checks Manage incidents effectively Able to deal calmly and confidently with all demands from visitor/members of public. Proactively liaising with staff, visitors and contractors. Ability to deliver a clear and concise incident report and escalate incidents to senior management and stakeholders Manage the day to day manned guarding and control room functions of the security team at Channel 4 Effective management of staff Adherence to Corps security disciplinary process when dealing with staff conduct and competency Any other security duties directed by the business or client that falls within your level of training and licensing And any other reasonable request from the management team.
