* Obtains such information as dimensions, tolerances, and number of parts required from job pack and
instructions from machine-shop supervisor.
* Selects feed rate, honing speed, depth of cut, and honing tool for each operation.
* Measures honed workpiece for conformance to specification using dial bore clocks, borematics etc
* May use special surface finish inspection equipment.
Qualifications
* High School diploma or GED equivalent and trade school, vocational education or apprenticeship
* 2-4 years experience in work related environment
Skills & Abilities
* Ability to read engineering drawings and manufacturing sketches
* Be able to read inspection tools and have knowledge of Quality Control, gauges, and dial bore clocks
* Have ability to speak, read, and write English
* Understand procedures and production schedules
* Good physical condition; able to lift heavy loads
* Knowledge or arithmetic involving decimals, fractions and its application to the reading of drawings and
measuring instruments or the calculations, and recording dimensions
* Must be detail oriented
* Ability to work with minimum supervision
