Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating an exceptional experience for our customers by preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and welcoming environment while ensuring that every customer leaves with a smile.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
* Assist with food preparation, ensuring all items are made to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workspace, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
* Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and offering recommendations.
* Handle cash transactions efficiently and accurately, demonstrating basic maths skills.
* Adhere to food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of both customers and staff.
* Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours while maintaining quality standards.
* Collaborate with team members to create a positive working environment.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a café or food service environment is preferred but not essential.
* Strong time management skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
* Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing orders effectively.
* Knowledge of food safety practices is advantageous.
* Excellent communication skills with a friendly disposition towards customers and colleagues.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
